Northeast Legal Aid also assists with Medicare appeals. We offer legal advice and in some cases representation for a wide variety of Medicare-related issues, including:

• Wrongful late enrollment penalties for Medicare

• Loss or denial of Medicare Savings Program benefits

• Denial of Medicare coverage for necessary medical care equipment, or medication

• Improper billing for medical care, equipment, or medication that should have been covered by Medicare or a Medicare Savings Program

• Premature discharge from a hospital or skilled nursing facility (for those who are Medicare-enrolled)
